February 28 - Snow CrystalSnowflake under a frozen microscope. - Amazingly, snowflakes always have six sides, similar to the human fingerprint. Both the form and shape of a snowflake depend on the temperature and moisture content of the cloud. He gives snow like wool;he scatters frost like ashes. Psalm 147:16God's artwork is often hidden from our sight; we need to look closer.

December 5th - God's Design in the Little Things of Earth The intricacies of this little snowflake are indeed a manifestation of God's glory. God did not have to make snowflakes with such beauty, especially something so small that cannot usually be seen, but He did so for his pleasure and goodness. For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36

January is a month filled when ice and snow, with incredible scenery everywhere you look. You don't have to leave your yard to photograph exciting pieces of nature necessarily. This image was captured by mounting my camera to a microscope, with everything outside the cold weather and light snowfall. A single flake is isolated and laid onto a microscope slide. When you first focus on the snow crystal, there is an incredible moment of awe as you first see the flake close up.From whose womb did the ice come forth, and who has given birth to the frost of heaven? Job 38:29 God created this hidden beauty to reveal Himself to us in His creation. We only have to stop and consider.

November 29 - Frozen in TimeThis delicate snowflake traveled for miles and then fell to the ground cushioned by soft winds and other snowflakes. Why would God create such beauty that no one will ever see? I guess it is for His Glory and joy -- I am so grateful to be able to see one up close. For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36

November 6 - Snow CrystalFrozen moisture, air currents, clouds, and temperature crafted the snowflake in this image. The crystal was carried for miles by updrafts and then gently laid to earth with millions of others.Because no two flakes can occupy the same space in time, each one must be physically different. We can relate to the intricate and individual beauty of creation as people crafted by the hand of God in the womb and allowed to grow into who we are.For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14

February 11 - Delicate SnowflakeA single snowflake under a frozen microscope reveals the magnificence of God's creation. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11 We see beauty everywhere we look in God's creation. But before the microscope, only God alone could see this beauty in the snow. When we learn to appreciate the elegance in nature, it will help us enjoy God more each day.
